I'm too shy to make a linky, friend. :) What other books do you love on the topic of writing? I've never considered myself a writer per se, but I feel like this may be the year to change that. :) Love to you!

Christy, I love all of your suggestions. The Hunger Games in my opinion are along the lines of something like a Narnia. I am very sensitive to anything dark or evil, OR ugly in general and I mostly just found them exciting and fascinating. BUT, I probably wouldn't go around recommending them because there are so many other wonderful books to fill our thoughts with more uplifting ones. :)

I have a list of 22 I particularly enjoyed in 2011 with a very brief synopsis of each one seen here; http://www.jessicalynette.com/personal/2011-reading-list/

This year my goal is 36 books and I have already enjoyed The Mission of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson, The Core by Leigh Britons (I think...), Mistaken Identity (forget the author, but the story of the two girls from Taylor University were one died and the other was severely injured and they had the girls mixed up - beautiful story of God's grace and mercy demonstrated through the families actions!)

I found some new books to read from your list - thanks for sharing your favorite reads from last year :)
