wow. I really needed to read this today. '... because when I don't feel like blogging I assume that it is because I should not be blogging anymore."

I love this! I am in marketing consulting so I do online work for my clients. I also have two blogs: Adventuroo and Momcomm. Last year it got to be too much. When my dad died in December, it made me really evaluate why I was spending so much time online and I vowed to live 2012 with one word in mind: SIMPLIFY.

I'm moving to 1 Twitter account, dropping the number of posts I do each week and stuff like that to simplify my online presence. I want to feel nothing but love for blogging, not feel like a slave to it. Thanks for a great post!

Thank you for this.
I am struggling right now. I am all so new to this. I glean from Courtney at Living Well and wonder how she does it all. We have only spoken twice but she is encouraged me.
With the way my blog is growing, I feel immense pressure. What I mean is that I feel like I need to "constantly" post so people can read and read and read. :( Oh the battle.

Thanks for this post! I am new to the blogging thing but I am loving it. I have realized quick that I need to limit my time. Right now it is ccard because I feel like I have so much I want to write and say and it takes so much time to write out and format (and get pictures etc). I also need computer time (away from the kids and homeschooling) to do the book work for our businesses (because we are self employed). I have the time after lunch as 'mommy's work time' until 1 and then after I do a reading class with them and read to them they have a 'quiet time' where I work until 2:30. Then I work after they go to bed. ... It is hard when I am home all day and the computer is right there not to try and be on more, but limits help me keep my priorities set.

Love this schedule idea! It's so easy to be sucked in. I'm a social media marketing manager, so if I'm not careful, it can consume my life. Thanks for some great tips.

Thanks for sharing this again. I heard you share this at Relevant and it was so helpful. I have been blogging for years but for the 1st time I am trying to do it with more intentionality. It is hard because I either swing one way or the other. Sometimes I am blogging 2 or 3 times a day and then I will skip 5. So much of my emotions drives blogging...which it should not. I like that you shared in the comments to someone else that you don't always feel like doing it. That makes me feel better because when I don't feel like blogging I assume that it is because I should not be blogging anymore. Love the block of time idea!! I want to incorporate that soon!
